Apply for an invitation

If you’d like to come to the Blank Page Summit Hard Yarn Youth Mob in July 2011, apply for an invitation online.

Applications have closed, however if you’re keen and missed the deadline, you are welcome to complete an online application to join the waiting list. We will make prompt contact and update you as to the likelihood of issuing you with an invitation to join the Summit.

Things to know about applying for an invitation:

  • spaces are limited (maximum 150)
  • no one has a head start, so put time and effort into your answers on the application form
  • do not apply if you cannot commit to staying for the entire Summit

After you apply for an invitation:

  • you will receive an acknowledgement of your application within 7 days
  • if your application is successful, you will be invited to join the Summit and required to pay your registration within 30 days

After you have registered for the Summit:

  • you will receive specific briefings and updates
  • you will receive details of travel times to and from Broome to Billard

Please do NOT apply for an invitation
if you don’t intend staying for the whole Summit.

This will avoid embarrassment to yourself
and disrespect to the Billard Aboriginal Community
who host the Summit for participants for its entire duration.

Registration costs

The cost of registration for each key contributor is $2,690 inc. GST. Summit registration covers the period from 25-29 July 2010 (Monday – Friday) and includes:

  • Broome to Beagle Bay return transportation by air or 4WD coach
  • return ground transfers from Beagle Bay airport to the Summit site
  • all meals including breakfast, morning/afternoon tea, lunch and dinner
  • daily Summit proceedings and materials
  • daily recreational activities
  • on-site accommodation in a tent-bedroom (no shared rooms unless by request)
  • Summit Survival back pack

The cost of registration is a fixed fee and does not vary for key contributors who may choose to travel independently and be dropped off at the Summit site. This is due to the supply arrangements relating to the air charter and coach services.

Please note that although the cost of convening an event in a remote location is approximately 2.5 times more than in a rural or urban location, Billard Learning Centre has made some budget savings in 2011 mainly by buying some goods at a better price by shopping around. There’s no increase to the registration fee in 2011 from 2010.

SPONSORSHIPS

Indigenous people are welcome to apply for sponsorship
to join the Blank Page Summit 2011.

Sponsorships cover registration + travel or registration only.

Common sense applies …….

If the only way you’ll be able to make it is if you are sponsored
and you are invited to the Summit based on the rest of your application,
your application for sponsorship will be given a high priority.

If you believe you may qualify, please don’t hesitate to apply for sponsorship under Payment Arrangements in the Online Application Form.

Every year we have sponsored a high number of Indigenous people to join the Summit.
